Solar Wash clean my gutters and solar panels annually. They are efficient, punctual and clean up after themselves. They provide photographic evidence of their work. Highly recommend.

FAQ’s

Do I need to be home?

Most of our clients are not at home when the work is carried out. Rest assured, all of our technicians are fully police-checked, trained, and insured. We also take before and after images of the work for your peace of mind.

If it’s convenient for you, payment can be made upon receipt of the invoice once the job is completed. Please let us know if this
arrangement works for you or if you have any further questions.

Do you clean downpipes?

We clear the down pipes to the first elbow or 600mm whichever comes first. 90% of the time this is where the blockage is. If it’s past there in the actual storm water you would need a plumber with an electric eel. But unfortunately the first thing the plumber will ask is have the gutters been cleaned.

How do you clean the gutters/solar panels?

We thoroughly vacuum clean all the gutters and provide a condition report, inclusive of before and after images and a record of what debris was removed and how much. With the solar panels we clean to manufacturers specifications using ionic equipment inclusive of particulate filter, reverse osmosis and deionisation. We take before and after thermal images of the panels and record any defects back to you in the condition report. All our technicians are fully trained, police checked and fully insured.

What do you do with gutter guards?

With Gutter Guards you have three options:

1: We just vacuum everything off the top (as long as they are not the cheap plastic ones sitting in the gutters)

2: We remove the guards, clean the gutters and dispose of the guards

3: We remove and / or lift the guards, clean the gutters and replace the guards (this being the most expensive option)

How often should I clean my solar panels?

Difficult to answer as there are a few variables, the most important being the location and the angle of the panels. The flatter the panel the more often it needs to be cleaned.

Location is a big factor, we have one client who is near a rock quarry that has them cleaned every three months, but generally our residential customers have them cleaned every 12 months as a matter of routine maintenance. In damper areas, it’s essential to stop the growth of moss and lichen.

Studies show that solar systems, depending on location and angle, will conservatively lose 5% – 8% in output per year. That increases based on the lower degree of angle and location.
